ABOUT ME

Megan Klepp lives in a purple house in Portland Oregon.  She spends her days chauffeuring, cooking, refereeing, cleaning, tutoring, and generally facilitating  the lives of her two very active school age boys.  She shares her fixer upper home with her compulsively clean husband, and a spirited Boston Terrier.  Managing the zoo that is her life takes lots of love, patience, and laughter.  Some people unwind with cocktails or yoga.  Megan’s happy place is her in-home studio.

Here she closes the door, plugs in the Ipod, and zones out while creating  one-of-a-kind works of art out of recycled materials intended to beautify the home and garden.  As a child, she watched her frugal father build furniture out of reclaimed wood; this sparked a love of recycled art. She began working with glass, marbles, and bowling balls she discovered at estate sales and thrift stores.  She now sees and creates art out of almost anything: spoons, signs, and magic eight balls.  She is known for her colorful, marble covered bowling balls, whimsical sun catchers, mosaic ANYTHING (backsplashes, birdbaths, signs), and quilts.  Megan finds fun and peace in her art.  She hopes you do, too.
